Commonly used Compilers

For Windows you can use following C/C++ compilers-

  • Visual C++
  • Borland C++ and Borland C++ Builder
  • Bloodshed Dev C++ (it uses gcc as the backend)

And for UNIX like OS you can use-

  • gcc
  • tendra

Following are some links from where you can get a compiler

try this one(my personal favourite)

(choose the second link on Windows section)
it gives you the option of compiling on
GCC (MingW / GNU GCC)
Microsoft VisualC++
Digital Mars
Borland C++ 5.5
Open Watcom
...and many more.............all in one
