Left click on the Network manager icon , and select the available wifi connection. If the wifi connection is DHCP enabled ie it automatically connects and configures itself, then you can straight away start browsing.

Now left click on the network icon and select the Wifi connection to establish the connection. Once it gets connected, lets check if the connection has correct IP address or not. Right click on the network icon and select Connection information. It must show all the information about the Wifi Connection if configured properly.
