Philips uc like Philips 89V51RD2 Microcontroller are having all common components on board which i recently came across while searching isp circuits.......
but why is this not so much talked about in this forums.... but still people go for atmel 89s52 or atmega series..........

hey nicky
U know most f us start with most common UC available ie atmel 8051 n the burner is also available quite easily, then we come accross other UC like u said philips, PIC etc. I'm on AVR so it depends on your need and availability. If u 've good knowledge about how to program philips UC then u r most welcome to share your knowledge. I would love to read an article written by U.
i guess there would be no need for those things....
if one is comfortable with 8051 and its similar variants like at89c51, at89s52 then dat is sufficient.......
it supports all 8051 instructions.........keil also supports dis uc.........
besides it supports isp as well as iap......
so beginners on projects can easily build isp......
